Consultanta and Trainers Database Search
The consultants and trainers listed in this database have been approved for participation in WVSBDC training activities for our clients and our staff. Their performance is rated after each training event - unacceptable performance results in the removal of the consultant's or trainer's name from the list. The WVSBDC makes these names available to the public for its consideration without vouching for or guaranteeing their performance or abilities in any way beyond the preceding statement.

Information for Research and Commercialization Grant Solicitation
Only for-profit proprietorships and small businesses (fewer than 500 employees) qualify for SBIR and STTR funding. Hence, these programs provide a unique source of seed capital for West Virginia citizens and small businesses to explore and develop innovative new product concepts and enhance existing product lines. These programs are particularly important to West Virginia businesses where innovation capital is in very short supply. And there are few strings attached to SBIR and STTR funding - there is no loan repayment, no equity sacrifice, and most intellectual property rights generated on funded projects remain with the small business.

Small Business Plan
The West Virginia Small Business Plan is intended to help more uninsured working adults obtain comprehensive health insurance coverage through employer-sponsored plans that are priced lower than the usual rate for comparable coverage. It is one component in an overall commitment by West Virginia state government to provide access to health insurance and medical care for all citizens.
