The Jobs Cabinet, under the auspices of the Governor’s Office and in collaboration with the State Department of Education, is sponsoring its second Summit on Global Competitiveness. The purpose of the summit is to bring together the West Virginia community around a common set of facts, best practices and state-specific strategies for transitioning a 20^th century educational system to 21^st century demands, and to reach agreement, at least in principle, on major legislative priorities for 2010.

The meeting takes place at the University of Charleston on Thursday October 29, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
