 Berkeley Springs State Park Hosts Local Artists for a Fifth Season

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. – Art in the Park is in its fifth season at Berkeley Springs State Park. Art in the Park is a juried monthly outdoor art fair for local and regional artists to show and sell their work. Sculpture, paintings, jewelry, stained and fused glass, metal, wood, fiber, ceramics, art demonstrations and other media.

“It is an opportunity for visitors to the park and to our area to see work created by local artisans,” said Christopher Hansroth, park superintendent. “We work with many organizations to provide a host site for different types of programs and activities.”

Art in the Park is one of several events scheduled in 2011 at this Morgan County destination. Berkeley Springs State Park is in the center of downtown Berkeley Springs on Rt. 522 and across the street from the Berkeley Springs Farmer’s Market and the shops on Fairfax Street.

Art in the Park at Berkeley Springs State Park occurs on Sundays from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., rain or shine. Dates in 2011 are June 5, July 3 and 17, August 7 and 21, September 4 and 18 and October 2.
