CHARLESTON, W.Va. -Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin and First Lady Joanne Jaeger Tomblin invite everyone to join in the fun at the Easter Carnival on Saturday, April 16th. Due to the forecasted weather, the carnival will be held inside the main Capitol building.
"The Easter Carnival has become a tradition at the Capitol," Gov. Tomblin said. "It is a time for families to gather and celebrate Easter as well as a time we can enjoy the fellowship of our West Virginia family. I am pleased that we have been able to work cooperatively to move the event indoors so everyone will have a great time, rain or shine."
Due to the anticipation of inclement weather, the Easter Carnival is scheduled to take place in various locations inside the main Capitol building from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm. Tickets are not required to attend. Door prizes will be awarded at Noon for children 12 and under.
