First Lady to Honor Military Children and Families at Community Picnic

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va - First Lady Joanne Jaeger Tomblin will provide keynote remarks during the "Red, White and Blue BBQ", Thursday, April 19. This free, family-friendly picnic will honor the military children and families of the Mountain State.
Inspired by the First Lady's "Serve West Virginia Military" initiative, the "Red, White and Blue BBQ" will be hosted by West Virginia's Promise, Rock Lake Community Life Center, Charleston Area Vet Corps and the West Virginia National Guard Child and Youth Program. Festivities, which include food, games, raffles and entertainment, will go from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and are open to the public.
