Gov. Tomblin, Kentucky Gov. Beshear Make Friendly Wager
3/18/2011
CHARLESTON, W.Va -Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin reached out to Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear today, for a friendly wager on the 3rd round of the 2011 NCAA March Madness Tournament between West Virginia University (WVU) and the University of Kentucky (UK). Up for grabs is a basket of goodies representing the finest food product from West Virginia from Gov. Tomblin should the Wildcats win and from Kentucky, a country ham from Gov. Beshear, should the Mountaineers be victorious.
"With both teams so closely ranked, it will definitely be an exciting game," said Gov. Tomblin. "I may be a little bit biased, I did attend WVU, but I'm looking forward to walking away with bragging rights and a nice ham for dinner!"
The West Virginia University Mountaineers and the University of Kentucky Wildcats will play in the tournament game Mar. 19, in Tampa, Florida at 12:15 PM.
