Governor Issues Statement Regarding Toyota Motor Manufacturing of West Virginia Expansion

CHARLESTON, W.Va. –Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin participated in a press conference today at Toyota Motor Manufacturing of West Virginia (TMMWV) in Buffalo where the company announced a multi-million dollar investment for an additional transmission to be produced at the plant. This announcement includes the addition of approximately 40 new jobs. Gov. Tomblin issued the following statement regarding this expansion:
“West Virginia has the good fortune to have innovative, forward thinkers at TMMWV and when you combine that with our state’s dedicated, educated workforce, you have a winning combination” Gov. Tomblin said. “TMMWV has established good paying jobs in the heart of a solid, tight-knit community. This is what I want for every community across West Virginia. Even in challenging economic times, TMMWV has proven what can be accomplished with hard work and a commitment to excellence.”
