Governor Issues Statement on Passing of Delegate Dale Martin

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin issued the following statement after learning his friend and West Virginia House of Delegate member Dale Martin of Putnam County, W.Va. passed away unexpectedly.
"I have known Dale since he began representing the people of Putnam County in the House of Delegates eleven years ago. Throughout his public service, Dale's commitment to his constituents, and all West Virginians, was exemplary," Gov. Tomblin said. "Dale was a personal friend of mine and I am deeply saddened by his untimely passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Helen, and son, Joshua."
Gov. Tomblin will be issuing a proclamation calling for all State flags to fly at half-staff. The details will be forthcoming.
