Governor Issues Statement on Passing of Delegate Larry Border

CHARLESTON, W.Va. –Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin issued the following statement after learning West Virginia House of Delegate member Larry Border of Wood County, W.Va. passed away unexpectedly.
“Larry was the ultimate statesman and a gentleman,” Gov. Tomblin said. “This is a tremendous loss to his family, community and colleagues. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Anna, and family. Joanne and I offer our deepest sympathies to his family during this difficult time.”
Gov. Tomblin will be issuing a proclamation calling for all State flags to fly at half-staff. The details will be forthcoming.
