Governor Tomblin Orders All U.S. and State Flags Lowered
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -In accordance with a Presidential proclamation, Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin today ordered all U.S. and State flags flown at state facilities be lowered to half-staff effective immediately in honor of the victims of the tragedy in Boston and to support the people of Boston, Massachusetts. Flags shall be flown at half-staff until sunset, Saturday, April 20, 2013.
"Joanne and I continue to pray for the victims and families affected by this act of terror," Gov. Tomblin said. "I ask all West Virginians to keep them in their thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time."
