CHARLESTON, W.Va. -Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin along with Legislative leaders and executives from Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield West Virginia, including President Fred Earley, will hold a press conference to bring the 2011 Walking Works Capitol Challenge to a close, and present awards to some participants.
For the past four weeks, staff members from the Governor's Office, State Senate and House of Delegates have worn pedometers to capture every step each individual has taken. Highmark West Virginia will present a trophy to the office whose team has attained the highest average steps taken.
In addition, individual awards will be given for: the highest number of steps taken, the most improved walker and oldest walker.
