National Trust names W.Va. Main Street coordinator as Chair of Advisors

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The National Trust for Historic Preservation has named Monica Miller as Chair of the Board of Advisors. Miller is the state coordinator for Main Street West Virginia, a program of the West Virginia Development Office.
The National Trust for Historic Preservation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving historic places and revitalizing communities.
Before being appointed chair, Miller served on the National Trust’s Board of Trustees and has been a member of its Executive Committee.
Miller began her career in public service with state government after graduating from West Virginia University in 1986. She served with the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources prior to accepting her current post with the West Virginia Development Office.
West Virginia is home to 12 accredited Main Street communities. Main Street West Virginia focuses on economic revitalization of historic commercial districts by providing technical assistance and training using the National Trust’s Main Street Four-Point Approach®.
