 Pumpkin Fest Baking Contest Dedicated to Janet Kelley

The 2013 West Virginia Pumpkin Festival baking contest will be dedicated to the memory of Janet G. Kelley, an avid participant in the event over the years. The contest will be held Saturday, Oct. 5 at the festival grounds in Milton.

Categories for the contest are:
  • Pumpkin pies, both traditional and non-traditional;
  • Pumpkin bake-off, which includes breads, cakes and pumpkin rolls/logs; and 
  • Pumpkin dessert, which includes any dessert item with at least one cup of pumpkin

Cash awards range from $35 for 1st place to $10 for 5th place, plus ribbons. Each participant will receive a ribbon for participation.
