CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Division of Labor has scheduled Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training and compliance classes in June.

wvcommerce.org/DOLTrainingCalendar. Tuition assistance is available for participants drawing unemployment compensation. For details, call the Women’s Business & Training Center at 304-253-3145 in advance.
OSHA requires employers to provide employees with health and safety training relevant to their job duties. Employees with current health and safety training certification can enhance their value on the job or improve their marketability in their field.
The June classes offered through the state Division of Labor are:
10-Hour Construction, June 21-22, Huntington. The seminar covers construction safety and health topics for workers of all levels. Topics include fall protection, scaffolding, electrical and more. Participants who successfully complete the class will receive a certificate and a 10-hour OSHA card.
10-Hour General Industry, June 28-29, Morgantown. The two-day seminar covers general industry safety and health topics for workers of all levels. Subjects include Walking and Working Surfaces, Emergency Action Plans, Hazard Communication and more. Participants who successfully complete the class will receive a certificate and a 10-hour OSHA card.
In July, the Department of Labor has scheduled the 10-Hour Construction class in Lewisburg; the 30-Hour General Industry in Parkersburg; and the 10-Hour General Industry in Clarksburg. Call 304-253-3145 or visit
