Retail Liquor Outlet Sales on Election Day

Charleston, WV – The West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Administration (WVABCA) reminds consumers over the age of twenty-one that the retail sale of liquor is prohibited during the Statewide Primary Election Day on Saturday May 14, 2011.This will not effect on-premise sales of alcohol or retail beer and wine sales.
The passage of House Bill (HB) 3100 to end the prohibition of retail liquor outlet sales on Election Day does not take effect until June 10, 2011.
