 Stonewall Resort to Host Mother’s Day Celebration Specials May 6-8

WESTON, W.Va. – In addition to the annual over-the-top Mother’s Day Brunch taking place Sunday, May 8, Stonewall Resort near Weston is offering free rounds of golf, discounted Spa packages and lake cruises for mothers lodging overnight at the Four Diamond lakeside resort May 6-8, officials announced.

“The resort has planned a special celebration to honor all mothers this weekend,” said Steve Ludwig, director of sales and marketing at Stonewall Resort. “With spring upon us, now is the perfect time to treat your mom to a round of golf, lake tour or one of the many other outdoor activities the resort has to offer. Additionally, we’ll offer the traditional Mother’s Day Brunch, and spa treatments will be available by appointment.”

Ludwig said mothers lodging at the resort this weekend can receive a free round of golf on the Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course when accompanied by a paid guest. Additionally, mothers will receive a gift from the Mtn. Laurel Spa with the purchase of a manicure and pedicure or a 50-minute Swedish massage.
 
For those who might want to take mom on a personal tour of Stonewall Jackson Lake, pontoon boat rentals will be discounted by 50 percent. The resort’s 100-passenger excursion boat will also provide regular group tours of the lake.

From 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 8, the resort will offer a Mother’s Day Brunch. The meal will include everything from a seafood bar complete with poached gulf shrimp, oysters on the half shell, and smoked oysters, clams and mussels to hickory smoked ham, grilled pork loin and herb pepper crusted roast strip loin. Additionally, traditional and non-traditional breakfast foods will also be offered, along with an array of salads, side dishes and desserts.

The cost for the brunch is $32 for adults, $16 for children 9-12 years old and free for those 8 and under. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (304) 269-8880.
