The celebration of the grand opening of the newly expanded lodge at Twin Falls State Park continues through June.Twin Falls lodge went from a 20 rooms to 47 units over a two year renovation time frame.The dedication of the accomplishment was June 15.
“When we get people to visit the park the first time,we have customers for life,” said Rita McAllister, front desk supervisor at Twin Falls State Park.First time visitors and returning guests will appreciate theBustin' June offer. Room rates in June are cut 50 percent to encourage individuals toinvestigate the new rooms, conference rooms, indoor guest pool and fitnesscenter, courtyard and other amenities. “All lodge rooms are one-half price as an incentive to comevisit and see for yourself,” said McAllister.
Daily golf play specials andtourneys are set for 2011 in addition to daily golf play.Daily play specials include “buy one and get one free” greens fees with cart rental after 1 p.m. on Monday and Thursday;50 percent off for senior golfers age 60+ on Tuesday prior to noon; Lady Golfer play for $22.50 on Wednesdays before noon; and Fridays recognize youthful golfers 18 and younger with a 50 percent offgreens fees before noon.
“Seniorstake advantage of 10 percent discountsevery day except when the Tuesday 50 percent offer kicks in,” said Brian Wetzel, golf professional. Twin Falls also offers golf packages that include lodging and golf greens fees.
Several fore-fun golf tournaments are currently organized by Wetzel. Fore-fun golf play days are June 25, Mixed Couples Scramble; August 7, Twin Falls Cup (staff vs. passholders), and August 27, the annual “Lefty-Righty” two-man scramble.
