 West Virginia Welcome Centers celebrate sesquicentennial around the state

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. – On June 20, 2013, West Virginia will celebrate its 150th birthday and all eight of the state’s welcome centers will join in the celebration. Travelers in the Mountain State and local communities are encouraged to stop by and participate in a variety of events, have a slice of cake and join in the festivities.

Following are just a few of the events that will be occurring throughout the day at West Virginia Welcome Centers. In addition, tourism destinations will have exhibits at these locations.
