 Women’s Writing Workshop Planned at Tygart Lake Nov. 18 - 20

GRAFTON, W.Va. – Tygart Lake State Park will host a weekend for women who express themselves in writing. Writer Colleen Anderson leads this affordably priced weekend session Nov. 18 - 20. The workshop begins at 7:30 on Friday evening and ends on Sunday morning. This workshop is appropriate for beginners as well as practiced writers.

“With gentle guidance, attendees learn that their own memories and experience are the raw material for art — and you’ll practice with the tools that can make your writing, in any form, more vivid,” according to Anderson.

Bring a notebook, a sense of adventure, and an open mind. The weekend package is $233.70 per person in a shared room and includes two nights lodging, three meals, Sunday brunch, Friday refreshments, Saturday wine and cheese, and workshop tuition. Individual room package is $310. Tuition-only rate is $157.40. Meals are prepared by the Boston Beanery of Tygart Lake.

Colleen Anderson is a writer, performer, and owner of Mother Wit Writing and Design, a creative studio in Charleston. Her fiction, poetry, songs, and essays have been published and broadcast widely.
