11/22/2011
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – West Virginia’s ginseng digging season ends on Wednesday, Nov. 30. The season started on Sept. 1.
Individuals who are in possession of ginseng roots have until March 31, 2012, to either sell them to a registered dealer or obtain a weight-receipt. A weight-receipt allows the person to hold those roots until the next ginseng season and sell them to a registered dealer.
