 Media Invited to Tour Capitol Food Court Prior to Opening

CHARLESTON, W.Va -- The Department of Administration is offering a media tour of the Capitol Food Court, located in the basement of the State Capitol, at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 8, 2008.

Project Consultant Rod Stoner will conduct the tour, explaining the various food stations and other amenities which will be available to patrons of this establishment. Representatives of the Department of Administration, including Cabinet Secretary Robert W. Ferguson, Jr., and Guest Services Inc., the operator of food services, will be available for questions immediately following the tour.

"From concept to completion, the Capitol Food Court has been implemented in record time, with outstanding results," said Cabinet Secretary Ferguson. "A project of this scope and magnitude takes a great amount of cooperation from many different individuals, from our staff and consultant to the numerous vendors involved in the completion of this new establishment. State employees, our legislators and visitors at the Capitol are encouraged to enjoy the fruits of their labor."

The Capitol Food Court is scheduled to officially open to the public on Thursday, January 10, 2008.
