Internationally Acclaimed Embassy Designer to Speak at Cyrus Vance Awards

The Annual Cyrus Vance Awards ceremony will occur Wednesday, November 19, 2008 in the Cultural Center at the State Capitol. Named in honor of the late U.S. Secretary of State, the awards recognized outstanding achievement in the field of international education. Keynote speaker is Vivian Woofter, a West Virginia native, who has served as interior designer for the White House and the U.S. State Department, where she has designed multiple American embassies and ambassador residences throughout the world.
The event begins with a reception in the Great Hall at 6:00pm. The awards ceremony starts at 7:00pm in the State Theatre. All activities occur in the Cultural Center. News reporters are invited to attend.
