CHARLESTON, W.VA. – The Region VII Workforce Investment Board and WORKFORCE West Virginia announced today that staff is being sent to Charles Town to assist dislocated workers from AB&C Group’s Ranson and Martinsburg locations.
Three meetings are scheduled on March 25 at the Lion’s Club of Charles Town, located at 308 South George Street, Ranson, W.Va. The times of the meetings will be
9 a.m., 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. Workers who have filed for unemployment compensation in West Virginia will be receiving a mailing indicating which meeting they have been scheduled to attend.
Representatives from the Region VII Workforce Investment Board, Job Service, Unemployment Compensation as well as other state and federal agencies will provide information on re-employment and support services that are in place to assist AB&C dislocated workers as they transition back into the workforce.
Unemployment claims will not be processed at these meetings. Employees who have not yet filed an unemployment claim should contact their nearest local unemployment office (WORKFORCE West Virginia). For a list of unemployment offices, please call 1-800-252-JOBS (5627).
