Gov. Joe Manchin III, along with representatives from the West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Administration, Governor’s Highway Safety Program and State Farm Insurance will, together, showcase a new interactive tool to help educate teens about the dangers of distracted driving, including drinking and driving.
West Virginia is one of the top six states in the country for the highest DUI fatality rate.
Funding for the statewide “Smart’n Up One Bad Decision can last a lifetime” educational tour is provided through grants from State Farm Insurance and The Governor’s Highway Safety Program. The educational tour will be traveling the state to area high schools, with the DUI simulator, in an effort to teach teens to make better decisions.
