Charleston, WV - The Governor's Job Fair, aimed at providing job seekers with information on state government employment opportunities, is scheduled for Thursday. October 2, at the Morgan National Guard Armory ar 2096 Kelley Island Road in Martinsburg. The event. which is open to the public, begins at 11 a.m. and will conclude at 6 p.m.
A total of six statewide Governor’s Job Fairs have been coordinated to recruit qualified candidates for the state employment, particularly in critical need positions, including but not limited to health service workers, nurses, correctional officers and counselors, forensic analysts, law enforcement officers, equipment operators and engineering technicians. A one-stop process will enable interested candidates to complete online applications, participate in on-site interviews with agency representatives and, in some cases, complete proper tests for certain positions. Representatives from all state departments will be present to guide interested candidates through the state employment application process and discuss employment opportunities and benefits.
Interested individuals are encouraged to bring their resume, proper identification and any other information they wish to share with potential agency employers.
Governor’s Job Fairs have been conducted in Fairmont, Wheeling, Elkins, Huntington and Bluefield.
