CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Gov. Joe Manchin and First Lady Gayle Manchin today announced they will join with the West Virginia Office of Healthy Lifestyles to host the fourth annual Healthy Lifestyles Walk at the State Fair during Thursday’s Governor’s Day activities in Lewisburg.
“Every year, the healthy walk is successful, so we have decided to do it again this year,” the governor said. “Healthy habits and exercise are an important part of ensuring that you are leading a healthy lifestyle. We invite all state fair attendees to join us for this fun and healthy event.”
The walk will start and end at the Underwood Youth Center lawn. The first 200 kids get a free t-shirt and all participants of the walk will receive an apple. In addition, a group photo will be taken and placed on the Governor’s official Web site at
www.wvgov.org for individuals to download.
PLEASE NOTE: Immediately following the walk, there will be a media availability for the governor and first lady.
