CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Gov. Joe Manchin will deliver a keynote address during the Stewards of Change Fifth Annual National Conference at the Yale University School of Management tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010.
The governor said he was eager to accept the speaking invitation and he plans to provide attendees an overview of West Virginia’s successes and opportunities, as well as discuss the tough decisions and groundbreaking steps the state has taken the past six years, with particular regard to improving health care in West Virginia.
“I am honored to have been asked to speak to this distinguished group of professionals,” Gov. Joe Manchin said. “By working together, West Virginia has made great strides in many areas, like making fiscally responsible decisions and implementing innovative health care technology measures, and these are some of the topics that I will share with attendees.”
This year’s national conference’s theme is “From Field to Fed: Building an Interoperable Continuum of Care” and various leaders from business and industry to nonprofits and government will attend to share their ideas and concerns on the delivery of education, health and human services.
The mission of the Stewards of Change is to create sustainable improvements that transform systems of care by integrating entrepreneurial solutions from the public, private and nonprofit sectors.
