Governor Orders Flag Lowering to Honor Upper Big Branch Miners for Sunday Memorial Service

CHARLESTON, W.Va.. - Gov. Joe Manchin today ordered all U.S. and State flags at all State-owned facilities throughout the state be lowered to half-staff the entire day of Sunday, April 25, 2010, the day of a public memorial service in honor of the 29 miners who were lost and the two wounded during the mine disaster at the Upper Big Branch Mine-South in Montcoal, W.Va.
