Governor/U.S. Senator-Elect Manchin To Give Farewell Speech Friday

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - After six years as the chief executive of West Virginia, Gov. and U.S. Senator-elect Joe Manchin will give his final public speech as governor on Friday, Nov. 12, at 10 a.m., held in the Governor’s Reception Room of the state Capitol.
The governor will be joined by First Lady Gayle Manchin, state cabinet secretaries, staff members from the Governor’s office and other guests during Friday’s event. Manchin is expected to speak regarding his tenure as governor and will also talk about the expectations and challenges ahead in Washington as U.S. Senator-elect.
