CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Gov. Joe Manchin and First Lady Gayle Manchin invite children from across the state to join in the fifth annual Easter Egg Event from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 3, on the North Plaza at the State Capitol.
“Joe and I are very excited about the variety of games, activities, prizes, Easter eggs, and food that the children and families will be able to enjoy at the Capitol Easter Carnival,” the first lady said. “One highlight is the grand prize drawing at two age levels, which will be held at 3:30 p.m. - children must be present to win. We encourage everyone to come, because it promises to be a fun-filled, action-packed day of fun with the Easter Bunny!”
Children 12 and under may participate. This free event is open to the public. Candy and coupon-filled eggs and prizes will be provided for the kids and refreshments – everything from snow cones to hot dogs– will be provided for all visitors.
The Easter Bunny is expected to join in the day’s activities and the event will continue rain or shine.
