GOVERNOR ORDERS U.S. AND STATE FLAGS TO BE LOWERED, INVITES WEST VIRGINIANS TO ATTEND CEREMONY, IN OBSERVANCE OF 9/11 PATRIOT DAY

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Gov. Joe Manchin today issued a proclamation ordering U.S. and state flags at all state facilities to be lowered to half-staff for the entire day of Patriot Day, Saturday, Sept. 11, in honor of the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on America.
All West Virginians are invited to attend special ceremonies Saturday at the State Capitol Complex to commemorate the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
