 Country Music Singer Darnell Miller Performing at Pipestem Resort Amphitheater June 28 Part of 2008 Pipestem Amphitheater Schedule 

6/26/2008  Darnell Miller  is a veteran of country music and is scheduled to perform at Pipestem Resort State Park Saturday, June 28.  Spanning a singing career from the late 1950s through today, Miller brings traditional country sounds to the amphitheater stage.

Pipestem Superintendent, Steve Bolar is pleased to have Darnell Miller performing at Pipestem’s amphitheater. “He is a traditional country music singer with a lot of Ray Price in his vocal style.”  Miller is accompanied by the Wilderness Creek Band.  The performance is from 8 – 10 p.m., Saturday, June 28, at the park’s amphitheater.  Ticket price for this performance is $10.

Pipestem Resort State Park is located between Athens and Hinton West Virginia on Route 20. The state park offers lodge/hotel, cabins, camping, golf, hiking, restaurants, and nature and recreational activities. The park is open year-round.

The remaining amphitheater events for the 2008 season, in addition to country music artist Darnell Miller, includes:

Three Rivers Avian and Lou Maiuri are free events.  Other performances are at a minimal admission fee of $6 - $10 per person depending on the show.  All shows begin at 8 p.m.  Events at Pipestem are online at www.pipestemresort.com.

Pipestem amphitheater is a 525-seat complex with additional hillside seating as necessary. Alcohol is not permitted at the events. Tickets are available for purchase daily from 12:30 to 4:30 at the park Nature Center or by phoning 304-466-1800.
