Internationally-recognized guitar players and instructors Robin Kessinger, Robert Shafer and Jim Ritchey are featured instructors for the 2009 Guitar Workshop Weekend at Twin Falls Resort State Park March 27-29. This special event weekend caters to guitarists interested in developing finger-picking techniques, getting tips from a national flat-picking champion, hitting chords and licks, and learning the etiquette of jamming. The guitar workshop will begin with a Friday night instructors’ mini-concert and jam session and concludes Sunday afternoon.
“This weekend features the three best guitar instructors that any beginning or accomplished guitar player could hope to meet or learn from,” says Scott Durham, Twin Falls Superintendent. “It’s a rare opportunity to be in a setting with these accomplished musicians. Kessinger, Shafer and Ritchey know guitars inside and out, from creation of the instrument to playing. The affordability and limited class size makes this one of the premiere three-day workshops for anyone interested in guitars.”
The Guitar Workshop Weekend includes two nights' lodging, workshop fee, lunch on Saturday and Sunday, break refreshments, and door prizes at a cost of $144 per person. For the workshop only, without overnight accommodations, the price is $76 per person. Cabin rates and other package prices are available. Advance reservations are required, and the Workshop size is limited.
