The West Virginia Wildlife Federation and the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources are seeking hunters who own and are willing to display trophy white-tailed bucks that were legally taken in West Virginia with either bow or gun and have a Pope & Young or Boone and Crockett net score of 150 or greater.
This is the sixth year that the West Virginia Big Buck Display has been held in conjunction with West Virginia’s Celebration of National Hunting and Fishing Day. This year’s event is September 27-28, 2008, at Stonewall Resort State Park near Weston in Lewis County. This is the largest event held at a West Virginia state park, with an attendance of 19,000 in 2007.

Participation will be limited to the first 30 qualifying trophy entries received. As an incentive for participation, each hunter who displays a trophy deer at the two-day event will receive a door prize and four, randomly picked participants will receive substantial prizes.
