 West Virginia Day and Father's Day Buffets at West Virginia State Parks 

6/16/2010  SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. – West Virginia Day and Father’s Day fall on the same day in 2010. Many West Virginia state parks restaurants are recognizing the state’s 147th birthday and an option for those wondering what to do for “dear ol’ Dad” with buffets or meal specials on Sunday, June 20.

West Virginia Day / Father's Day Buffet
Cacapon Restaurant will feature a Sunday Buffet from Noon until 2 p.m. and 5p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 20. Reservations are not required. Price is $14.99 for adults, $7.99 for children. Buffets are featured every Sunday from Noon until 2 p.m. For restaurant information, contact Mike Halterman at 304-258-1022

Sunday Buffet / Father’s Day Special
The restaurant at Holly River State Park will feature a buffet on Father’s Day from noon until 5 p.m. The price is $9.95 for adults and $3.95 for children. Reservations are not required. Buffets are not typically offered at Holly River except for special weekends such as Father’s Day and West Virginia Day. Father’s Day Buffet
The Bluestone Dining Room at Pipestem Resort is featuring a Father’s Day Buffet from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The price for adults is $14.95, child $7.48. Pipestem’s restaurant features a buffet every Sunday. For restaurant information, contact Beth Bailey at 304-466-1800

Tygart Lake Buffet
The restaurant at Tygart Lake Lodge will feature a West Virginia Day / Father’s Day Buffet Special June 20 from noon until 7 p.m. The price is $15.95 for adults and $8.95 for children 3-10 years of age. Reservations are not required. Tygart offers Sunday Breakfast Buffet from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. every Sunday. For restaurant information, contact Valerie Beavers at 304-265-0033.

Father’s Day Buffet
Blackwater Falls restaurant will feature a special Sunday buffet from 1 to 8 p.m. on June 20. The special buffet price is $13.95 for adults; kids 10 and younger eat free. Blackwater Falls features a breakfast buffet every Sunday from 7 a.m. to noon. Reservations are suggested but not required. For restaurant, information contact Gil Reynolds 304-259-5216.

The Last Run Restaurant
Cass Scenic Railroad restaurant will feature a June 20 special from 5 to 8 p.m. Adult price is $18.99. The Last Run Restaurant is located in the Cass Company Store complex and is one of “West Virginia’s 101 Most Unique Places to Dine.” Additionally, on Friday, June 18, a “Father’s Night Out” special features BBQ ribs or fried chicken with choice of sides, drinks and desserts. The Company Store houses the retail/gift shop, a museum and also the Last Run Restaurant. Operated by the Bodkin Sisters, this restaurant features “good cookin’.” The restaurant also packs lunches for trips up the mountain. Sandwiches, daily specials and beverages are available at reasonable rates. The restaurant offers dinner every Sunday of the train operating season, Memorial Weekend through October 31.

Chief Logan Lodge
The restaurant at Chief Logan Lodge features buffet every Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. The price is $15.95 for adults and $7.98 for children. Reservations are not required. All you care to eat at North Bend State Park
Father's Day Buffet on June 20 at North Bend State Park features “All Dad Cares to Eat Father’s Day Special” from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. “Jim’s Famous BBQ Ribs,” Salad Bar, desserts and fresh baked bread price is $14.95 for adults. Reservations are strongly recommended.
