Chief Justice Speaks To Regional Bar Meetings
Supreme Court Chief Justice Brent D. Benjamin today was to make the second of several speeches to regional meetings of the West Virginia State Bar.
The regional meetings are held annually throughout the state, and the Chief Justice is attending as many as his schedule will accommodate. The meetings begin at 10:30 a.m., include a lunch, and usually end by 1:30 p.m. Chief Justice Benjamin attended his first regional meeting on Monday in Logan.
He plans to attend a third meeting in Beckley on Wednesday, October 21. In each location, he tailors his speech to the local Bar and timely matters important to the West Virginia judicial system.
The meetings provide a total of three continuing legal credit hours in legal ethics, office management, substance abuse, and/or the elimination of bias.
