Manchin as an honorary spokesperson, portrayal of the holiday's founder Anna Jarvis by Cathy Pleska of Scott Depot and music by the Appalachian Children's Choir directed by Selina Midkiff, and music by operatic tenor Randall Reid-Smith.

"I'm very happy that viewers across the state will be able to enjoy this concert," the first lady said. "Mother's Day is very special to the state of West Virginia, especially this year which is the 100th anniversary of the holiday."
