Christmas in the Park: through Dec. 31, Chief Logan State Park, Logan
Experience the holiday season by viewing more than one million lights on a four-mile drive. Santa Claus will be available at Santa Land for pictures from 6 p.m.-8 p.m., Monday-Saturday until Dec. 23. A gift shop will be available for holiday purchases. Admission is free to the public; however, donations are accepted. Hours will be from dusk until 10 p.m. daily. Holiday in the Park: through Dec. 31, Parkersburg
This holiday light drive-through features a colorful array of animated and still holiday light displays. Sponsored by various businesses and individuals, this light show covers both City Park and Southwood Park, which have been decorated in celebration of the season. Join us for a unique celebration of the holiday season with animated light displays throughout the park. There will be many activities each day, including caroling, a live nativity, bonfires, jingle bell mini golf, horse-drawn wagon rides, Rock Around the Christmas Tree Dance, reindog parade, crafting, wreath making, Colonial Christmas fiddlers, breakfast with Santa, Christmas parade and tree lighting. Holiday of Lights Festival: through Jan. 2, Bluefield
What began with a few scattered snowflakes has now grown to more than 600,000 lights transformed into a showcase of holiday themes that are sure to touch the hearts of everyone. This beautiful array of lights creates a mile and half drive over 40 acres of Tony Lotito City Park. Hours are 6 p.m.-10 p.m. on weekdays, and 6 p.m.-11 p.m. on weekends. Winter Festival of Lights: through Jan. 3, Oglebay Resort, Wheeling
This year marks the 25th anniversary for the Winter Festival of Lights. The first year, displays and landscape lighting covered 125 acres over a three-mile drive throughout the resort. Since then, the Winter Festival of Lights has grown into an internationally acclaimed light show with more than a million lights covering more than 300 acres over a six-mile drive throughout the resort. Every year, several new displays are added. The new displays at the show will use LED lights, and all the existing displays will be converted to LED over the next few years. The Good Zoo at Oglebay will feature a lighting and musical extravaganza nightly on the zoo patio, with more than 35,500 LED lights choreographed to exciting holiday music. The event times are from dusk until 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from dusk until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. A per car donation is requested and is valid for the entire festival season.
