Guitar Workshop Weekend: March 27–29, Twin Falls Resort State Park, Mullens.
Spend a weekend fine-tuning your guitar skills at Twin Falls Resort State Park from March 27-29. Recognized guitar players and instructors, including Robin Kessinger, Robert Shafer and Jim Ritchey, offer tips to improve your skills. The workshop begins with a Friday night jam session. Women’s Getaway Weekend: March 27-29, North Bend State Park, Cairo.

Jackson County Quilt Show: April 3-4, Epworth United Methodist Church, Ripley. 

The 33rd annual Quilt Show is scheduled for Friday, April 4 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday, April 5 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. A variety of quilted items - all made by Jackson County residents - will be on display, and ribbons will be awarded at the end of the show.  Several vendors will be on-site selling quilting-related items.  Admission is $2. “To Kill a Mockingbird”: April 3, Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences, Charleston.

West Virginia Chocolate Festival: April 4, Ripley.

The state’s newest chocolate-themed event is the West Virginia Chocolate Festival in Ripley on April 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  This festival features chocolate vendors from across the state and an on-site chocolate factory. For more information, call 304-372-3482.

Webster Wildwater Weekend River Festival: April 4-5, Webster Springs. 

This river festival features downriver and slalom races on Saturday and river trips for paddlers of all skill levels in kayaks, canoes and rafts on Saturday and Sunday. An awards party on Saturday night rocks with live music, videos and an indoor bonfire.
