Andrea Gielen 

Director of the Center for Injury Research and Policy at John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health
 
Ms. Gielen's current research focuses on the use of computers for patient and public safety education; community interventions to improve home safety; translation research to disseminate proven injury prevention interventions; the impact of housing conditions on child safety; and stage tailored clinical interventions for survivors of domestic violence living with or at risk for HIV/AIDS.

James Alan Fox

The Lipman Family Professor Criminology, Law, and Public Policy
Former dean of the College of Criminal Justice at Northeastern University in Boston
 

James Alan Fox has published eighteen books --  including Extreme Killing: Understanding Serial and Mass Murder, The Will to Kill: Making Sense of Senseless Murder, and Violence and Security on Campus: 
From Preschool through College -- and hundreds of articles and newspaper columns on serial murder, mass killing, school shootings, youth violence and capital punishment. He also writes the "Crime and Punishment" blog for the Boston Globe. As an authority on homicide and violence, he appears regularly on national television and radio programs, and is frequently interviewed by the press. He also served as news analyst for NBC and FOX. He was profiled in the New York Times, in Scientific American, and in a two-part cover story in USA Today that described him as "arguably the nation's foremost criminologist." Fox 
often gives lectures and expert testimony, including over one hundred keynote or campus-wide addresses around the country, fifteen appearances before the U.S. Congress, and briefings at the White 
House and the Department of Justice.

Rod Reder




Vice President of the National Institute of Crime Prevention
 
Capt. Rod Reder (Retired) was with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office in Tampa Fl. for 29 years. He was most recently assigned as a Deputy District Commander. Rod was previously the Crimes Against Persons supervisor, and was the Domestic Violence Coordinator for the Sheriff's Office for seven years. He has taught for Florida State University, the University of South Florida and the U.S. Army.

Rod is recognized nationwide as an expert in domestic violence by the U.S. Department of Defense and the U. S. Department of Justice. He 
has received numerous awards such as the Florida Governor's "Peace 
at Home Award". Rod is the Vice President of the National Institute of Crime Prevention. Rod is a graduate of the 109th session of the Southern Police Institute, University of Louisville. Rod is the past Board Chairman of the Family Justice Center -Hillsborough County and serves on the Florida Attorney General's statewide Fatality Review Team.  Rod has 
a Bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa.
