Clorox Opens State-of-the-art Cat Litter Plant in West Virginia


The Clorox Company, a manufacturer of consumer and professional products, announced the opening of its new cat litter facility in Martinsburg, West Virginia. The location will make the company’s Fresh Step and Scoop Away brands. 

The plant’s main building measures 97,000 square feet, while offsite warehouse space will add another 450,000 square feet. The company expects the site to create over 100 full-time jobs, including engineers, managers, and production associates. Clorox​ anticipates the facility will reach full capacity by early next year. The plant is also projected to bring $190 million to the local economy. 

Michael Holly, the company’s vice president of product supply services, said the operation will help the company "move faster and work smarter" to meet all the needs of its customers.
