The Corsi Group upgraded its finishing systems, and added an edgebander, spending less than $2 million in the process. But those measured investments are delivering a dramatic return.
Without adding any space to its 50,000-sq.-ft. Elkins, WV production facility last month, the technology upgrade delivered nearly a 60% increase in capacity. A new Cefla Mito 2P automated finishing system is included in the improvements.
The Mito system at Corsi is comprised of a two-arm, oscillating spray machine, an automated Machinenbau Roba Tech brush sander, an anti-dust panel cleaner, and new finish pumps and air-mix guns, and an electronic mixing and dosing system.
