Energy storage company announces location in Jackson County, W.Va.

JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — An energy storage technology company announced plans to open a facility in Jackson County, West Virginia’s governor announced Monday.

Michigan-based Our Next Energy has entered an agreement with the state to locate a battery storage system manufacturing facility in Ravenswood, according to a news release from Gov. Jim Justice’s office.

“Today’s announcement is a proud day for all West Virginians,” Justice said in the news release. “We’re welcoming ONE to West Virginia with open arms, and we’re continuing to celebrate our ability to compete and attract world-class businesses to our great state. The Aries Grid battery storage system manufacturing facility enables hardworking West Virginians to continue their legacy producing America’s energy, and I couldn’t be more excited for ONE to build their new home in Almost Heaven, West Virginia.”
