More than two dozen trail and sidewalk project grants were announced throughout West Virginia on Monday.
Gov. Jim Justice announced his approval of $8.3 million for 29 projects in 21 counties, according to a news release from his office. The grants will help towns and cities improve their network of recreational trails, biking/walking paths, sidewalks and more.
The projects are broken up into two categories: transportation alternatives and recreational trails. Local transportation projects include:
