Kaiser Custom Knives Company investing in people and community

5/2/2021

MARTINSBURG — Cesar Licea, president and founder of Kaiser Custom Knives Company started in 2017 as a concept company and became state licensed in February 2018.

“The company came into being because of the lack of understanding and training for USoA Military Veterans coming home from overseas deployments. I wasn’t able to cope with civilians and they don’t understand most of us after our training and experiences overseas,” Licea said.

He said he has goals to promote and invest in economic growth, manufacturing, training, and genuine philanthropy by giving back to the community and investing in people.

Licea is originally from California and was serving in the US Army when he moved to WV. Even though he had no ties in WV and was hesitant to come live on the east coast, he said that “living in Clarksburg, WV showed me what I was missing in life. Fast paced life in California gets old, you have to leave in order to slow down and literally smell the roses. West Virginia has everything you can ask for. Clean air, greenery as far as the eye can, the amazing sunsets, and peoples and cultures from around the world come to WV to get away from the fast pace of everyday life.”
