MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Those with the Mylan Park Sportsplex near Morgantown say the facility can take its next step in development with money from a state grant.
Gov. Jim Justice delivered a $3.5 million check from the West Virginia Water Development Authority Economic Enhancement Grant program to Mylan Park officials last week. The money will be used for new turf for existing baseball and softball fields and the addition of two new turf playing fields.
Mylan Park Foundation Board President Ron Justice said the end result will be seven total fields, all with artificial turf. The multipurpose field will get the turf treatment and two additional baseball/softball fields will be added there
