NOAA launches GOES-T climate and weather satellite, data to be stored in Fairmont, West Virginia

On March 1, the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration launched the GOES-T weather satellite, the most recent in a series of satellites that will pull weather data from the Earth and store it locally in Fairmont.
GOES-T successfully launched last week from Cape Canaveral, Florida, making its way into the Earth’s orbit and centralizing itself over North America and the Pacific Ocean in order to observe and record a deep wealth of climate and weather data for NOAA to use.
