“We need the entire spring planting season to celebrate trees and their many benefits,” said Urban Forestry Coordinator Robert Hannah, West Virginia Division of Forestry. “From early April through mid-May, we attend events to plant trees and celebrate the accomplishments of roughly 17 communities that have been recognized as Tree City USAs by the Arbor Day Foundation.”
Tree City USA is a national program that provides the framework needed for communities to plant, nurture and manage their public trees.
