West Virginia’s first stargazing cabins are coming to Coopers Rock State Forest, a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.
Gov. Jim Justice and Babydog visited the forest, which sits on the borderline of Monongalia and Preston counties, on Tuesday to announce a $10 million investment into the state-run facility over the next few years.
“There’s so much goodness going on in this state right now compared to what we’ve had in the past, it’s off the chart,” Justice said. “And we just want to keep making it happen.”
