The first micro distillery in West Virginia lands in Charleston

3/12/2021

It has taken four years for Bullock Distillery to get up and running, but now owners say they finally have all the licensing to start manufacturing alcohol. After multiple trips to the Legislature last session, Bill 4697 was passed and signed by Gov. Jim Justice which helped pave the way for Bullock Distillery to become the first micro distillery in West Virginia. The distillery plans on making a variety of liquors to choose from -- from whiskey and moonshine, to vodka and gin. And they have a rustic, Appalachian tasting room for when bottles will hit the shelves, which should happen mid-summer. Bullock Distillery is located at 121 Washington Street West in the Elk City area of Charleston.
